Romance & Reminiscences

Had a great walk with a group of Dutch journalist who were experiencing Ecotourism in Leitrim. Guides Tina & Nuala from Leitrim Landscapes Guided Walks brought them to the Ballroom of Romance, Glenfarne Demesne and Glenfarne Railway Station.

Nature at Tawnylust Lodge

Its all happening at Tawnylust these days & nights! The swallow & house martin chicks are taking flying lessons by day. The night time revelry is two long eared owl chicks who are causing some commotion on their night flights from the nest. They make an incredible screeching noise.

Hill walk

Had a great walk yesterday on Saddle Hill, outside Manorhamilton in Co. Leitrim. Despite a couple of very cold hail showers, the views were fab. We had great views of Benwiskin and Lough Melvin and spent some time at a ring fort near Saddle Hill (named so as its shaped like a saddle)

The colours were fab as the leaves are turning. Great place for a walk.
